About
Jessika Malone, ALPC-MHSP
Therapy with me isn’t just about coping — it’s about creating: deeper intimacy, braver risks, and a more authentic expression of your truth, your needs, and your desires.
Home / About
Before becoming a therapist, I spent over two decades in the arts as a producer, director, and intimacy coordinator. This experience informs how I show up in the room: fully alive, uniquely attuned to nuance, sensitive to power dynamics, and comfortable with emotional intensity.
I am especially drawn to walk with people at the thresholds of life — when identities are shifting, when grief cracks us open, and in the tough, tender work of healing childhood, relational, or spiritual wounds. I feel at home with deep thinkers, big feelers, highly sensitive people, creative spirits, and anyone who has ever carried the quiet ache of feeling like an outsider.
In my work with couples, I help to slow things down, so you can get beyond the arguments, through the silence, and across the distance. I uncover the patterns that keep getting in the way, and create space for tenderness, honesty, and repair — whether it’s rebuilding after betrayal, navigating desire, or finding new ways to stay connected in the midst of life’s stressors.
I especially enjoy working with men who are exploring what it means to be emotionally present in a world that hasn’t always welcomed their full humanity. I offer a safe space to deconstruct inherited ideas about masculinity while making room for anger, grief, longing, and desire.
My approach is warm, compassionate, and radically nonjudgmental. I draw from evidence-based modalities like CBT, IFS, Narrative Therapy, ACT, EFT, and the Gottman Method for couples. But the real work is less about techniques and more about creating a relationship where you feel safe enough to explore your inner world with honesty and courage.
My space is open-minded, sex-positive, and celebratory of the many ways people find love, connection, and pleasure. I’m proud to offer competent, affirming care to the LGBTQIA+ community, and often help clients navigate coming out, chosen family, spiritual or religious trauma, and the unique stressors of being queer in the South.
In sessions, you can expect a mix of open, compassionate listening and practical tools you can use in your daily life. I’m empathetic and warm, but also straightforward — I’ll be honest with you and help you find concrete steps forward.
