FAQ

The therapeutic relationship is a big part of what makes therapy work. I offer a free 15-minute phone consultation so we can connect, talk briefly about what you're looking for, and see if it feels like a good match. If I’m not the right fit, I have a fabulous network of colleagues, and I’m more than happy to help you find someone to support you best.

Absolutely! I'll help you get started. All you have to do is be curious and willing to show up. I’ll meet you where you are, and we’ll go from there.

Yes. I offer both in-person sessions in Nashville and secure telehealth sessions for clients across Tennessee. You’re welcome to choose what feels best for you or switch it up as needed.

My session rates range from $125 to $200, depending on the day, time (weekend or later evening hours), and whether we are meeting individually, as a couple, or as a group. I also reserve a limited number of sliding scale spots, as I believe therapy should be accessible and affordable. If cost is a concern, please don’t hesitate to reach out — I’m happy to discuss options together.

I am not in-network with insurance providers. However, I can provide a superbill if you'd like to submit claims for possible out-of-network reimbursement. I also offer a limited number of sliding scale spots to help keep care accessible. If you're interested in sliding scale, reach out to discuss options; I'd be delighted to find a way to work together.

Most clients start with weekly sessions, but we can always adjust based on your needs, schedule, and goals. Consistency helps the work go deeper, but there’s no one-size-fits-all approach. Over time, some clients move to monthly maintenance sessions or occasional check-ins every few months. We’ll collaborate on a rhythm that feels supportive and sustainable for you.

My approach is intuitive, relational, and emotionally attuned. I draw from evidence-based modalities like Internal Family Systems (IFS), Narrative Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) and the Gottman Method (for couples). I tailor our work uniquely to you and your needs using an eclectic approach known as Common Factors.

That’s completely understandable. It’s common for one partner to feel more ready than the other. If your partner has concerns, I’m happy to answer questions or clarify what to expect. If they’re open to just one session, that can be a good starting point. We’ll take it from there, gently and collaboratively.

I currently see clients Tuesday through Sunday, with availability between 10am and 8pm. I’m happy to offer both weekend and evening sessions to help therapy fit into your life. If you're curious about scheduling, feel free to reach out and I’ll do my best to find a time that works for you.

I see clients in person at Nashville Therapy Group’s offices in both Nashville and East Nashville, and I also offer secure telehealth sessions for clients across Tennessee. You’re welcome to choose the location and format that feels best for you.

Kind of! I love that show too, and while real therapy doesn’t come with cameras, the heart of it is the same: people working to be heard, understood, and connected. Like Orna, I draw from evidence-based approaches (including EFT and the Gottman Method), but our sessions will be tailored to your unique relationship. It’s worth noting that the show compresses months of work into short episodes. In real life, progress unfolds more gradually, with space to explore and return to themes as they come up.
